Rethinking cities and regions require the implementation of new development strategies and management methods. Always adopting both a generalist (geography and urban planning) and a sectoral approach (socio-economic development, resilience, food systems, social and gender issues), our work is nourished by ongoing dialogues with local partners and project stakeholders.
A multi-level intervention in space and time : the depth of our action is nurtured by the interaction of the different scales that constitute the urban fabric and its organisation: landscape, public and community spaces, facilities, and specialised areas. These different levels are in turn part of a moving entity with its own time and rhythm. We work to develop and manage urban projects from the initial idea to its implementation, in an iterative and participative way, as closely as possible to local realities and timescales.
Natural hazard study requires the implementation of a holistic approach. Our approach to climate change and natural risks is based on the mobilisation of strong technical expertise and the study of the impacts on exposed populations and activities.
It is a day-to-day challenge that requires efficient, economical and reliable drinking water and sanitation infrastructure. Groupe Huit expertise covers the entire water cycle with a strong focus on nature-based solutions.
Based on solid methodologies, Groupe Huit adopts tailored approaches that adapt good practices to local conditions and directly involve populations in the process of improvement of their living conditions and reducing inequalities. People always remain at the heart of our projects
